Siding & Trim
Exciting things happening at the house. The interior walls are ready for paint and the exterior walls are ready and getting siding. For aesthetics, I've added 2X4 and 2X6 lumber to the face of the house to be covered by white aluminum trim. I put 2X4s around the front windows and door and 2X6s horizontally across the front to divide the spaces where the siding will start on top, and the stone will stop below. We decided on white trim for everything on the house, inside and outside corners, facia and gutters. We'll have the stone on just the front and garage side, and only trim the windows on the front and two sides. The additional work isn't welcome in this summer heat but will pay off with the finished product.
We placed the preliminary order for our counter top yesterday at The Home Depot in Mountain Home to get a sale that was ending. We also picked up paint samples that I'll brush on the walls this evening. If they are acceptable, I'll start painting later this week after Bonnie picks up the many gallons we'll need.

The front porch is going to be gorgeous! Can't wait to see the house with all the siding on.
