Work picking up again.
I haven't posted for a while. It's been a slow couple of weeks. The roof and electric rough in finished last week and not much happened this week until yesterday. The heat and air company has begun installing the duct work in the house. On the outside, digging began on three things. First, the trenches for the geothermal line to be buried in. Six feet deep and really, really long. If you'd like to learn more about geothermal, here's a link to the website of the product I'll have. http://www.geocomfort.com/resources
The same guy will dig and install the septic system and then also dig and install a line from the water main by the street to the house. Then, starting tomorrow or next week will be the insulation company. We're having cellulose, blown-in insulation put in. From I understand it should be very efficient. http://www.applegateinsulation.com/
No that's not my bike. That belongs to Mike, the backhoe operator.

Shingles & Wires
We've had a couple of things move along this week. Veni the Russian roofer started on Tuesday. We found a building supplier in Arkansas that had better pricing on shingles than the local stores and I won't have to pay state sales tax. I wish their lumber was better priced when I needed it but every store is different. Veni and his crew worked mornings and evening because of the heat. They'll be back on Monday and will probably finish then or Tuesday.
The electricians finished the wiring rough-in on Friday. They pulled a lot of wire. They'll be back after the sheet rock is up and painted to install the switches, outlets and fixtures.
